Although small, our team consists of industry experts with over 50 years’ of combined experience in composites. We work for each other, not with each other, and will happily go the extra mile to ensure our customers receive the highest quality service in our market.

Shaun Ahern
Managing Director
Shaun Ahern cme’s Managing Director. He is also a qualified composite repair systems supervisor and instructor having experience on many different systems.
He has over 17 years of experience developing composite repair services within the Middle East market as well as a further 15 years working within high temperature processes and oil & gas industries in various operational and project management roles in over 40 countries around the globe. He has a Diploma in Business Management and an MSc in Project Management from the University of Liverpool.

Omer Khalid
Technical Director
With over a decade of experience in the field of engineering pipelines and structural rehabilitation, Omer Khalid has established himself as an industry professional. His journey has been marked by a focus on non-metallic composites, leading to innovative and sustainable solutions. Omer’s career encompasses pipeline rehabilitation design using non-metallics, where he consistently ensures compliance with industry standards and offers cost-effective solutions.
His experience in non-metallic composites has revolutionized the field, providing long-lasting solutions for pipeline and structural rehabilitation. Omer’s deep understanding of these materials allows him to propose tailored composite solutions that meet project requirements.

Professor Simon Frost
Technical Authority and Innovation Director
Simon sits on the CME board with a non-executive capacity. With over 20 years’ experience in composite materials in the Oil and Gas industry, Simon leads our technical team whilst driving innovation across the company.
As a board member with ASME and as the Chairman of the ISO24817 Committee for Composite Repairs, Simon’s experience and expertise proves invaluable as we continue to grow and to develop reliable and high-performance FutureWrap cutting-edge composite solutions.

Fatma Al Shoja’a
Operations and Quality Manager
Fatma currently serves as CME’s Operations Manager, in addition to leading Quality, Technical, Safety, Environmental, and Health (QTSEH) functions. She oversees the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, ensuring consistent production and high-quality service delivery.
With over 15 years of management experience, Fatma is responsible for project mobilisation, as well as maintaining strong relationships through customer and partner liaison. She is widely regarded as the backbone of our company, playing a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and organisational stability.
Outside of work, Fatma is an avid reader of English literature and enjoys spending her free time reading.
