CME are delighted to share with you that alongside Gulfstar; our partners in Iraq, we have been awarded a major 5-year composite repair call-off contract.
Gulfstar is a highly esteemed engineering support company in Iraq who mainly operate in the oil and gas industry. Their primary areas of focus include pipeline insulation and rehabilitation, tank and vessel composite solutions; field operations and maintenance; and telecommunications and IT.
Gulfstar is a privately owned company, registered in Iraq, fully supported, and approved by Iraqi government entities.

Utilised throughout this 5-year composite maintenance contract will be FutureWrap; CME’s engineered composite repair system. There will be a range of products used including, Low Temperature (LT), High Temperature (HT), and High Ambient (HA).
FutureWrap High Ambient (HA) is a system specifically designed for applications in hot environments – like the deserts of Iraq mid-summertime. The difference from HA to LT is the curing time once the two-part epoxy resin (Part A and Part B) is mixed. This allows the technician more time to prepare the composite system prior wrapping the pipe- thus increasing system quality and performance.

CME have trained over 20 Gulfstar technicians and qualified them as a FutureWrap composite repair applicator. This allows us to be ready for mobilisation around the clock, ensuring an efficient and effective service.
